It is important to us that you are happy with your order. We try our best to photograph and describe our items to the best of our ability using our experience and knowledge. Condition and defects are described honestly.

WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER...

As soon as your order is placed, our process begins:

Firstly, we will send you an email confirming that your order has been received. Then we'll find your item amongst all the pieces in the shop. Your item is then wrapped and sealed (as detailed below) and packaged, ready for sending.

POSTAGE AND COSTS

We charge the actual postage rate and just add a minimal amount to help cover our boxing and wrapping costs. Our wrap and seal service is absolutely free and part of our standard service.

We use Royal Mail for all our parcels as we believe this is the best service for quick and safe delivery. Sometimes, if your parcel is extra large, we will use Parcel Force - another branch of Royal Mail.

We usually use Royal Mail 'first class signed for' service for speed of delivery and as an extra guarantee for safe delivery.

If your parcel is being sent out of the UK, we still use Royal Mail and choose either the 'tracked' or 'tracked and signed for' overseas service.

DISPATCH

We like to get your order to you as quickly as possible, so we try to make sure your parcel is sent out within two days of you placing your order. If you order on a Friday or at the weekend, it will usually be wrapped and sent out the following Monday or Tuesday.

Obviously, there are some occasions where this isn't possible, for instance if there's a particularly large volume of orders or absence through illness, but if the dispatch is to be more than a couple of days delay, we will let you know. If you're in any doubt about an expected order, please get in touch.

WRAP AND SEAL SERVICE

Our wrap and seal service is something we thought would help us to say 'Thank you' to our customers for choosing us. So, when you make a purchase from Kim's Curiosity Shop, your item or items will be wrapped with brown paper, then tied with legal tape and finally sealed with hot wax.
This is all part of our personal service and included in the postage costs.
