Information

An unusual set of playing cards in a circular design dating from 1929.

This full set of playing cards, including one joker, was made by John Waddington & son and was a first edition of this unusual size and shape. They were known as Cir-Q-Lar, a clever play on words, and were published and registered under number 741-945 as shown on the lid of the box.

The set is quite luxurious. The inner box and the outer box both have gold lettering. The outer box with a hinged and padded lid. There is a small ribbon attached to the outer box for easy removal of the cards. The cards have a black and gold design on the reverse and are also edged in gold.

The set is in very good condition, the only problem being one small flap is missing from side of the inner box.

Each card is approx. 7.5cm in diameter.
