Gold Trails of the Roaring 40’s (that’s the 1840’s!) and Thundering Herds of the West. These two mini magazines were included in boy’s magazines of the 1930’s as a free collectable gift.
These small magazines were printed in England by The Amalgamated Press Ltd., Printing Works, Sumner Street, London SE1 and date from the 1930’s. They each have 32 pages, many black and white illustrations and the most vivid colouring on the covers. They each measure approx. 15cm x 10cm.
The staples in both magazines have rusted and stained the surrounding paper. Gold trails is still good condition but the cover of Thundering Herds has come away due to the rusted staple. Two fascinating and very collectable little books from the 1930’s.
