Tiger Cowrie Shell Coin Purse

A little vintage coin purse made from tiger cowrie shells.

The purse has been made by two shells joined together using brass edging and fixings and dates from the mid-20^th century. The hinge and clasp are made with a very simple brass design.

This beautiful little coin purse would make a lovely trinket box, gift box for a ring and perhaps for a wedding favour. It measures approx. 5cm x 4.5cm x 4cm and is in good condition.
