A small 20th century silver-plated hip flask made by James Dixon. It is stamped E.P.M.B. and has the James Dixon Brothers makers mark.
This is an unusual hip flask as it is so small, measuring just over 8.5cm tall. It could easily be hidden in a pocket for a naughty secret drink, perhaps if you were at a social gathering you’d rather not attend, or if the host at a party was a little bit ungenerous with topping up your tipple. It would also be perfect to hide in the bottom of your evening bag?
It is in a slightly worn condition with scratches where it has been taken in out of pockets, so it appears that it was well used by a past owner, and there is a tiny dent in the lid. It appears to seal very well.A cute little hip flask which would suit a lady or a gentleman.
