Silver Baby’s Rattle with Whistle

A sweet little antique, probably Victorian, silver baby’s rattle with central round bell, three small exterior bells and a whistle handle.

This gorgeous little baby’s rattle really is all bells and whistles! There are no hallmarks or makers marks, but it has tested for 800 silver which suggests it is continental.

It looks to have been repaired in a couple of places. There is also a bit of wear and scratching consistent with its age. It works beautifully, the bells having a lovely jingle and the whistle is very loud.

A wonderful little keepsake or collectable piece.
