A very unusual spin on the usual deer head taxidermy.
This piece has been left with its ears and skin which is very unique. I have not seen this strange combination before. The lack of fur also makes for a rather gruesome looking display.
The piece is in a very worn condition and I wonder whether this has been in an old pub for fifty years. The ears are damaged and there is an odd coating to the skin.
The ears are in quite a bad state of repair with some of the skin missing to the edges.
I haven’t attempted to clean it as its current condition makes for a more curious and macabre wall display.
This piece measures approx. 21cm across and the mount is approx. 17cm in height.
Due to the complicated laws regarding the export of animal products, this item is only available to purchase in Europe.
