Lilliput Lane Christmas at Toseland 2009
A charming miniature Christmas church named Christmas at Toseland from Lilliput Lane.
Lilliput Lane was founded in 1982 by David Tate. Based in Cumbria, and starting with just seven employees and a dog, the company manufactured tiny copies of picturesque real houses and buildings in England and Wales. Throughout its history, Lilliput Lane miniatures were known for their attention to detail and their authenticity. The company was acquired by The American company Enesco in 1997 and in 2016 the company ceased trading. David Tate passed away just a year later.
Christmas at Toseland is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has its original deeds and box together with cleaning instructions. The reverse of the deeds tell the history of the actual building, the parish church of St Michael in Toseland, Cambridgeshire.
Lilliput Lane miniatures will always be known for capturing Britain’s vernacular heritage and evoking feelings of nostalgia for times gone by, and in this case, English churches at Christmas.
