Large Globe on Horizontal Stand

An unusual globe in a bronze coloured metal stand.

This impressive globe stands approx. 46cm tall and the globe itself is approx. 20cm in diameter. The stand is quite unusual as it holds the globe from a horizontal position making it easier to observe the globe from above.

Great for a table or a shelf this great display piece would equally good in a study, office or living room. The circular surround is marked with decorative numbers and measurements, I don’t think they provide technical information.

As a vintage item, there marks consistent with age. There are two tiny marks on the paper of the globe. The base is formed from a silver metal covered in a metallic bronze finish and there are quite a few nicks to the bronze paint.
