French Dental Development Miniature Model
A miniature French dental model showing the stages of tooth development.
A great little item for your curiosity cabinet, this set of teeth dates from c.1950. It was made by Gibbs, the famous dental and toothpaste manufacturer. The underside shows, in French, the names of the teeth and the age at which they develop.
This is a small piece and measures approx. 4cm x 3cm x 2cm. It has quite a bit of wear. It is in uncleaned condition, as I found it, and I believe it looks more curious as it is.
There is a small hole at the back with a square piece of metal which appears to have had something attached at one time, perhaps a keyring? I’m not sure what it is made from but I believe it to be some sort of ceramic material.
A great vintage piece for a collector, dental display or curio cabinet.
