A lovely rolled gold brooch from the early to mid 20th century featuring two enamelled flowers in green and lilac with seed pearl centres on a wishbone.
Green, lilac and white were the suffragette colours in the 1920’s and also the violet flower. This brooch captures all these symbols of the Suffragette Movement. The safety C clasp. As appears on this brooch was invented in the late 1920’s, so this could be from that time.
The two flowers are perched on a wishbone which signifies luck and is beautifully designed and very well detailed with texture and colour.
This lovely pin measures approx. 3.5cm x 1.5cm and is in excellent condition.
A gorgeous brooch signifying the history of women’s rights.
