A set of three hardstone hand carved animals.
These pieces came from a local auction in Suffolk and originated from an estate collection which included many folk art and tribal pieces from all over the world.
This collection consists of two lizard like creatures, possibly an iguana and a chameleon, and an anteater. The anteater has a maker’s name carved into the bottom – B Sande, and a price of $30.
The three pieces weigh 339 grams and the largest piece, the anteater, measures 15cm long.
