Carved Lidded Pot

A beautifully carved and turned wooden pot.

This vintage pot has been turned to give it its round shape and then hand carved with a floral and cut decoration which runs all over the pot and the lid. The lid opens to reveal a large chamber for storing trinkets or other items.

There is a small split to the edge of the lid but otherwise it is in excellent condition. It measures approx. 15cm to the top of the lid and is approx. 11cm wide.

The wood is a beautiful rich reddy-brown colour and the piece has been waxed with beeswax by a previous owner.
