A stunning little vintage purple or amethyst coloured potion bottle in the shape of a ball and claw. This very unusual bottle originates from Taiwan from the 1960’s and is extremely rare in the UK.
The little bottle measures 3¼ inches (approx. 8cm) and appears to be handmade. There are distortions to the glass and it is slightly wonky. The glass is shaped as a ball at the bottom and four talons clasp the ball from the neck.
I understand this originally contained bitters of some sort. There is a little well-fitting cork which protrudes out from the rim. The words ‘Ball and Claw Bitters’ is marked on the side of the bottle and made in Taiwan is marked on the bottom.
A gorgeous little potion bottle.
