Asian Carved Warrior on Horseback

A small wooden hand carved warrior on horseback.

This appears to be a folk-art item, possibly hand made as a one off piece and carved from one piece of wood. It is quite rustic in design but still has lots of detail. The style is similar to that of the ‘Ainu’ Japanese style.

The warrior rides on a horse and wears the traditional Asian conical hat. He is holding a quiver of arrows and a sword and shield.

This piece measures approx. 10.5cm tall x 7.5cm in long and 3cm wide. It is in excellent condition if a little dusty.
