This is a wonderful surgical instrument from the Victorian or possibly the Edwardian period. I understand that it is made from silver as this was a safe metal used for medical procedures at that time. It was made by Willen Brothers in London and has their name marked at the top. It also has a No. 6 marked on it.
It is in wonderful condition apart from needing a polish but I think that adds to the charm of this unusual object. It measures approx. 6cm.
