African Tribal Mask with Two Faces

A small dark wood African tribal deity mask featuring two faces.

This deity wall display was beautifully carved from natural wood in c.1980. The large face at the bottom of the piece wears a headdress which features a much smaller face at the top.

I’m afraid I know nothing about meaning.

The mask measures approx. 23cm x 15cm and weighs 435g. It is in excellent condition with slight wear to the smaller face in the headdress.
